Remarks

interactive is composed from the same MapConfigSchema field v1 uses, so it carries v1’s .default(true). This is the AE2 linchpin: v1’s config.interactive always materializes into runtime.map.interactive: true, so the v2 runtime.map must too — otherwise a minimal v1 doc and its v2 twin diverge on exactly this key. The default fires even when the document omits runtime: entirely, because runtime and runtime.map default to {} up the chain (see RuntimeV2Schema and MapBlockV2Schema).
